G4G Boston + GLAD Ptown Party | July 27

Gay For Good Boston is honored to support GLBTQ Legal Advocates and Defenders (GLAD) at their 43rd Annual Summer Party in Provincetown, MA. Your participation in this event will help GLAD raise awareness and funds that support their mission of helping our community by defending the legal rights of GLBTQ people. For the last two years, our chapter volunteers played an essential role in the success of the Summer Party. The day involves some hard work and lots of fun including the round-trip ferry from Boston Harbor to Provincetown.

Who: GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD), is a non-profit legal advocacy organization that works to end discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, and HIV/AIDS status.

When: Saturday, July 27, 2024

Where: Pilgrim Monument, Provincetown, MA

Time / Place:

• 8 am: We must be on time at the ferry at 1 Long Wharf, Boston, MA 02110 to prepare to board for an 8:30 am departure (arrival time approximately 10 am at MacMillan Pier). If you will be in Ptown already, let us know you will not be on the ferry.
• 10:30 am: Meet at the Provincetown Monument and begin active volunteering until we leave for the return ferry.
• 8 pm: The return ferry departs Provincetown from MacMillan Pier.
• 10 pm: Approximate ferry arrival back in Boston.

Project Tasks: There are several volunteer positions such as attendee greeting, registration, selling raffle tickets, live auction monitors, venue setup, and clean up.

Perks: Free round-trip ferry ticket, complimentary GLAD T-Shirt, lunch and dinner (we will be sending you a survey to determine your t-shirt size and to determine dietary restrictions). And spending time with a great group!
