     9:00 am - 12:30 pm

It’s that time of year again!  Our friends at FriendshipWorks are hosting their Walk to End Elder Isolation and our team of G4G volunteers will be there to help with logistics and making sure people have a great time while raising awareness and funds to end Elder Isolation in the Greater Boston area!

The event will take place on Sunday, May 15 from 9am to approximately 12:30pm. We will be meeting for registration and a free breakfast at The Rogerson House in Jamaica Plain. Please note: pickup and drop-off is allowed at this location, but parking is not. Parking is being provided at The Curley School, 40 Pershsing Road, just a few blocks away. (Ignore the tow zone signs at the school, volunteers have been given permission to park there for the event.) There is also limited street parking along Centre Street. You can also reach the location via the Route 39 bus. For transit directions, click here.

There are lots of ways for our G4G volunteers to lend a hand:

* assisting with check-ins and people-moving as teams of walkers arrive
* distributing breakfast goodness
* cheering on all the awesome walkers! (Sure, you can bring pom-poms but some will be provided!)
* serving a sweet treat (woo hoo, ice cream!) with returning walkers
* clearing and cleaning up as another successful Walk to End Elder Isolation concludes

The event will run rain or shine.
