About The Friends of the Public Garden: The Friends is one of the oldest public-private partnerships in the nation. They play a vital role in the stewardship of the Boston Public Garden, Boston Common, and Commonwealth Avenue Mall. The Friends work closely with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department to provide and fund the best possible professional care of their irreplaceable collection of mature trees, sculpture, and fountains as well as acting as advocates, speaking out for the protection of these parks against misuse and encroachment and educating the public about park issues.

About this volunteer opportunity: Join us at this after work park clean up and beautification project! The Friends will be directing us to help make these important Boston area green spaces beautiful for all.

Projects and exact project location within the Garden will be determined the week of the project based on the needs of the parks and might include picking up litter or planting. Supplies will be provided by the Friends of the Public Garden.

This project is also being supported by our friends at Patagonia Boston on Newbury Street.

This project is limited to 25 G4G volunteers.
