About Company One Theatre: Founded in 1998, Company One has situated itself as a home for social justice and artistic excellence by connecting Boston’s diverse communities through live performance, the development of new plays and playwrights, arts education, and public engagement programming.

About this volunteer opportunity: Joy in Motion: A Queer Dance Class and Clothing Pass, is an opportunity for LGBTQ+ folks of all backgrounds to celebrate the power of movement, community, and self expression for mental health at a free dance class and clothing pass. There will be an upbeat all levels dance class, and folks will be swapping gently-used activewear to swap with community members seeking gender-affirming workout gear! There will also be free snacks and tabling of local wellness resources, groups classes, and other physical activities specifically for queer folks of all sizes and abilities.

Our volunteers will be –

• Helping with set up and clean up
• Greeting people and providing directions
• Checking folks in at our check in table
• Helping sort clothes and donations

This project is limited to 15 G4G volunteers.
