G4G Boston invites you to volunteer with Community Servings! This organization’s mission is to actively engage the community to provide scratch-made medically tailored meals to individuals and their families experiencing critical or chronic illness and nutrition insecurity. They commit, in all their programs and business practices, to prioritize racial and economic justice and health equity. The organization delivers healthy and nutritious meals made from scratch. We would be helping to prepare and package meals in their kitchen.

This event will occur on Thursday, August 18 from 4 to 7pm.

Community Servings is located at 179 Amory Street in Jamaica Plain. Not only do they have a parking lot, they are almost next door to the Stony Brook stop on the Orange Line (3 minute walk).

Kitchen volunteers must be age 13+, and all new volunteers will receive an orientation from their team before the start of the shift.

All volunteers must be fully vaccinated and wear an N95, KN95 or surgical face mask when inside their building. Required attire includes pants (with no rips or tears) covering the ankles or a full length skirt, long-sleeve shirts, and close-toed shoes. Hairnets and aprons will be provided. Proof of vaccination is also required, either by a physical COVID card, or an electronic equivalent on your phone (including a picture of your card).
