G4G Boston + BLA Courtyard Beautification | June 18, 2024

Volunteer With Us For A Beautification Project At Boston Latin Academy

The folks at BLA need our help to turn this school courtyard from drab to fab! Beautification projects will include painting, power washing courtyard tiles/gazebo and external building graffiti, assembling new picnic tables and if time allows, a little gardening work to clear beds in the front of the school!

BLA will also be recruiting students from the school, including the GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) to work alongside us! Join us to make this space a beautiful place to work and socialize for students in Boston Public Schools!

Ages: All ages welcome

IMPT: All volunteers must register with G4G and our partner here. Partner registration link will also be included in your confirmation email. For BLA staff member supervising, please put Chelsea Evanyke!

Transportation/Parking: BLA is easily accessible by the orange line and major bus routes along Humboldt and Warren. There is plenty of parking both on the street as well as in the two staff parking lots for those who will be driving (entries on Townsend St and Deckard St.) Please enter at the main entrance near the flag pole!

What to wear/bring: Please wear clothes that you do not mind if they get dirty/paint splattered, and bring a water bottle! Refill stations available inside of the school building.

Additional Details:

Chelsea will be there to welcome everyone into the building and confirm your CORI form has been filled out! If you have any issues getting to the school or have any concerns the day of, please reach out to Chelsea directly at (845) 258-0763.
