G4G Boston + Bay State Community Services

ABOUT: Bay State Community Services (BSCS) is a not-for-profit human services agency, dedicated to improving the social functioning of adults, adolescents, and children within a framework that recognizes the primary importance of family and community.  The Beal Street Group Home was established in 2010 and is an adolescent group home for transitional age youth focusing on independent living skills and permanency including family reunification.

Gay for Good will be working to beautify the outdoor space of the home to create a more welcoming atmosphere for the youth residents to hang out in. We will be doing some light landscaping including weeding, mulching some flower beds, and planting flowers and improving the backyard patio area.

Tools and supplies will be provided, but if you have a favorite pair of gardening gloves, please bring them! Everyone should wear closed toed shoes and clothes that they don’t mind getting dirty.

If the weather is inclement, we will announce a rain date.

This project is limited to 15 people.
