Hello Arkansas G4G Volunteers! If you like working outdoors, we have the perfect project for you!

Join us as we celebrate National Public Lands Day by helping Audubon Delta, Friends of Fourche Creek, Central Arkansas Master Naturalists, and LR Parks and Recreation clean up Fourche Creek at Benny Craig Park. Volunteers will be able to select a number of different activities including using canoes to pull litter out of Fourche Creek, raising the canopy along the bank, weed-eating, and picking up litter throughout the park. All ages are welcome.

Lunch will be provided thanks to a donation from Rock Creek River Outfitters.

Date/Time:

Saturday, September 24th from 9 am to 11:30 am

Materials to Bring:

Dress appropriately for outside work and be sure to bring:

1) Gloves (waterproof if using a canoe)

2) Water Bottle

3) Brush clearing and weed-eating tools if you have them. The Parks and Rec department will provide a limited number.  (No electricity is available).

4) Kayak/Canoe/Flat bottom boat if you have one. A limited number will be available.

The park has a small number of tools available for use.  Gas-powered weed eaters may be used. Garbage bags will be provided.
