It’s time for another successful Lucky Dog and Cat Adoption Event!

Join G4G DC as we once again partner with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to help find permanent homes for more than 100 dogs and cats!

Date: Sunday, May 14
Time: 11:15 am – 3:15 pm

Location: PetSmart Rockville—5154 Nicholson Lane, Kensington, MD 20895. (Note that the nearest metro station is North Bethesda on the Red Line, a 12-minute walk to PetSmart.)

Order of Events
11:15am: Volunteer orientation begins.
11:30am: Adoptable dogs arrive and are assigned to volunteer dog-handlers.
12:00–3:00pm: We have fun and work hard to get as many dogs and cats adopted as we can!
3:00–3:15pm: Dogs are returned to foster care-givers or drivers and cats are loaded in carriers to go back to their foster homes.

Number of Volunteers: 20 total dog- and cat-handlers

Additional Information: This will be an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately and remember sun screen! Please do not RSVP if you’re unable to commit to the full four-hour event.

All volunteer handlers must be at least 18 years old in order to handle a dog at an event. Youth age 7 or older may volunteer, but there is a strict requirement of one adult per youth, due to Lucky Dog Animal Rescue’s insurance policy.

Please consider joining us for breakfast before the event. Attendance is fully optional and attendees will be responsible for their own food and beverage costs. Full details will be announced via email closer to the event date.
