New Year’s resolution #1: Volunteer more!

Kick off the new year with Gay for Good DC as we return to Shepherd’s Table to prepare and serve dinner to its guests.  G4G DC’s volunteers will set up the dining room, help with food prep, serve meal, wash dishes and help clean the kitchen and dining room area after the meal.

Date: Sunday, January 12
Time: 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm (followed by an optional G4G group dinner nearby; details TBD)

Location: Shepherd’s Table | 8106 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD | <10 minute walk from the Silver Spring metro station

Note: We are limited to 12 volunteers and will put all 24 hands to good use, so please register only if you are confident that you can make the full two-and-a-half hour commitment on the 12th.

Dress Code:    Casual, but no revealing clothing, skirts or shorts that stop above the knee, thin spaghetti strap shirts or shirts that expose your midriff, please. Additionally, please do not wear clothes with political/religious messages.  Shepherd’s Table wants to ensure a comfortable environment for everyone. Lastly, all volunteers must wear closed-toe, non-slip shoes for safety.
