Brian has dedicated his professional career to building philanthropic cultures and fundraising expertise within organizations, particularly in social and human service sectors, LGBTQIA+ justice initiatives, and higher education. Recently, Brian consulted at CCS Fundraising, a world-renowned nonprofit consulting firm. In this role, he successfully led various scopes of work, including campaign management and assessments that encompassed prospect research, staff growth plans, feasibility studies, and comprehensive development plans. Prior to his time at CCS, Brian contributed to the Major and Principal Gifts team at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. There, he focused on cultivation strategies for major and principal donors and led the development of a 3-year regional strategic plan.

Throughout his career, Brian has provided valuable insights on potential individual, corporate, and foundation donors. He has helped organizations secure transformative support by employing comprehensive donor engagement and solicitation strategies, establishing robust campaign infrastructures, collaborating closely with nonprofit volunteer leaders, and delivering tailored nonprofit assessments that meet specific organizational needs.

As a volunteer, Brian actively contributes to LGBTQIA+ community. Brian is a National Board Director at Gay for Good and he serves on the development committee for the American LGBTQ+ Museum’s inaugural capital campaign. He also chairs the steering committee for Denison University’s LGBTQIA+ Alumni Association. He has previously held a position on the Board of Trustees at Denison University during a $250M comprehensive ca
