G4G Columbus + Plenty O’ Cookies | August 25, 2023

Join us for a cookie extravaganza! G4G Columbus will be working alongside Alex Copeland of Plenty O’ Cookies to decorate some delicious treats for Star House, a central Ohio drop-in center for youth who are experiencing homelessness.

No experience decorating cookies? No problem! Alex, in his drag persona of Plenty O’ Smiles, teaches classes to the local Columbus community. They will be working alongside us to decorate 10, fun, Summer inspired cookies. That’s one cookie for us and nine for donation!

Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Location: Thurber Center – 77 Jefferson Ave, Columbus, OH 43215

Parking: Parking is available in the back of The Thurber Center, accessible from 11th Street.

Additional Information: Due to the nature of this volunteer session involving perishable items, signs ups for this volunteer event must be cut off a week prior to the event, to allow Alex time to make the cookies.

About our partner: Star House operates Central Ohio’s only drop-in center for youth, ages 14-24, who are experiencing homelessness. At their 24/7/365 drop-in center, youth are provided access to food, clothing, hygiene items, laundry facilities, showers and a safe place to be.
