G4G Denver + A Precious Child Donation Center

G4G Denver is teaming up with A Precious Child for Donation Center support!

Help process incoming community donations and prepare them for distribution to families through A Precious Child’s Resource Center, which is set up like a retail store where families can access clothing and essentials, all provided at no charge.

Please note: APC requires all volunteers to register on their website—instructions are below!

A Precious Child’s mission is to provide children in need with opportunities and resources to empower them to achieve their full potential. They work with more than 546 agency partners throughout eight Denver Metro counties. A Precious Child provides disadvantaged and displaced children with wrap-around support to break the cycle of poverty.

Date: Saturday, November  19
Time:  9:00am – 12:00pm (3 hours)

Location: 7051 W 118th Avenue, Broomfield, CO 80020 – (volunteer check-in at Unit 6)

Project Tasks: Help organize, sort, and hang clothing donations. Welcome donors and help unload their donations.

Volunteers Needed: 15
Age restrictions: Volunteers ages 5–12 are able to volunteer with an adult. Volunteers ages 13 and up are able to volunteer on their own.

**A Precious Child requires registration on their website**

1. Visit your online Volunteer Event: Donation Center (9:00AM-12:00PM) on Nov 19^th
2. Sign in if you’ve volunteered with us before -OR- create account if you’re a new volunteer at A Precious Child. Your join code is: GAY4GOOD.
3. Once you have created your account or logged in you will be re-directed to the group’s volunteer event. Click the red “Sign Up” button to register. If the site doesn’t redirect you, just click the hyperlink in step one to get to your team’s specific volunteer shift.
4. Review our Volunteer Authorization, Waiver, and Release Form and accept that you understand.
5. Congrats—your registration is complete!

Things to know:

• Volunteers are required to wear close-toed shoes.
• The Donation Center has large, open garage doors for donation drop-offs, so please dress appropriately for the outside weather since the warehouse can get hot or cold.
• Please have a friendly and welcoming demeanor to clients, volunteers, donors, and staff
• Please respect and maintain the confidentiality of A Precious Child clients, volunteers, partners, and donors.
• Bring a water bottle and snacks.
