Spend a Saturday Beautifying the San Francisco Zoo
Join us for “Renew the Zoo” this November in San Francisco, where Gay For Good volunteers will come together to help restore and beautify the zoo’s habitats and facilities. Be part of this rewarding community effort to support wildlife conservation and enhance the visitor experience!
Date: Saturday, November 9, 2024
Time: 8:00am–11:00am (Please arrive 15 minutes prior to check in)
Location: San Francisco Zoo Main Entrance – Sloat Blvd &, Upper Great Hwy, San Francisco, CA 94132
Public Transit: Within San Francisco, take the Muni L Taraval line outbound to the Zoo. Muni bus lines 23 and 18 also stop at the Zoo. Use the SFMTA Trip Planner sfmta.com/drive-park for directions.
Other details: We’ll be assisting the the Zoo’s Horticulture Department to create beautiful gardens for the animals and visitors. Renew the Zoo’s goal is to help spread the message of habitat conservation and vegetation management.
Wear warm and comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. The Zoo provides tools and work gloves, but if you have work gloves, bring them just in case. Please wear sturdy work shoes.
COVID Guidelines: Masks are optional. Please cancel if you are not feeling well.
