G4G San Francisco + Maitri Compassionate Care – CANCELLED
-
G4G San Francisco + Maitri SF
January 14, 2023
10:00 am - 3:00 pm
G4G San Francisco is working with a new partner this January!
Join G4G San Francisco for our January 2023 service project as we partner with Maitri Compassionate Care, painting a long hallway in their Center. Maitri was set up in 1987 to care for people dying of AIDS. It now provides care for people in need of hospice or 24-hour medical care, including those recovering from gender affirmation surgery.
When: January 14, 2023, 10am – 3pm. Registration is from 9:45am, followed by an introduction to Maitri and open circle introductions.
Where: Maitri Compassionate Care, 401 Duboce Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94117.
Public transportation is highly encouraged. The location is within easy walking distance of bus stops and Church Muni metro station.
What to Wear: Clothes you don’t mind getting messy as we’ll be painting. Closed-toe shoes and a hat are recommended.
Covid Protocol: As we’ll be working in a care home where there are people with illnesses or recovering from surgery, there is a strict Covid protocol for this event. Masks are required and proof of vaccination and booster must be shown. Maitri operate a quick guest temperature-taking and sign-in procedure at the front door.
Lunch: We’ll break for lunch in the middle of the event. There are places very nearby to buy food, including Safeway supermarket over the road. We recommend bring a water bottle.
How to register: Space is limited to 25 people. Grab your place now by clicking on the Register Now button above!
If you register for the event and are then unable to join us, please let us know by emailing sanfrancisco@gayforgood.org. This will allow us to open your space up to someone else, maximizing the good we do with our partnering organization!
We look forward to having you join us!
