Rosalinda Sauro Sirianni Garden Volunteer

  • G4G Pittsburgh + North Hills Community Outreach
     May 18, 2024
     10:00 am - 1:00 pm

We will be assisting with tearing down and re-building a fence at this garden, as well as any other projects that may arise. We will also be installing pest barriers to keep groundhogs and other critters out of the garden.

Date: Saturday, May 18
Time: 10am–1pm
Location*: Rosalina Sauro Sirianni Garden, 119 Davis Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15202 (Parking is provided in the lot adjacent to the garden.)

*Our partner has noted that typing in the address listed will not take you directly to the garden entrance, but typing the full name of the garden (The Rosalinda Sauro Sirianni Garden) into your GPS is often more helpful in getting folks to the entrance.

Please wear clothes appropriate for gardening and/or doing manual labor. We will be getting down and dirty for this event. Boots, overalls, hats, and sunscreen are all good options.

Bring a water bottle (to stay hydrated!). Also, if you own any tools such as wire cutters (to cut fencing), hammers, or staple guns, please bring them with you. Gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you are partial to a certain kind.

Age Requirement: 18+

Project Lead: Katie

About Our Partner: North Hills Community Outreach’s (NHCO) Rosalinda Sauro Sirianni Garden is a volunteer, community-supported organic garden. In 2022 they harvested 4,433 pounds of produce that was distributed at their food pantries.
