Join Gay For Good OC/Long Beach and Urban Community Outreach Easter Sunday to help feed the hungry in Downtown Long Beach. We will prep, package, and distribute nearly 200 meals!

Date: Sunday, March 31
Time:  10am–1pm
Location: First Congregational Church of Long Beach, 241 Cedar Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802 (Use entrance  labeled ‘Pilgrim Hall’ on Cedar Avenue)

Parking: Street meters free on Sunday near the church. But double check each individual area, parking meters are enforced on some major streets like Pacific and Pine Avenue. Nearby parking garages are available nearby, free for the first 2 hours.

Age Restriction: 14+ accompanied by an adult.

Covid Guidelines: All volunteers must wear a facemask properly, covering both the mouth and nose.

Additional Details:  Once you are in the courtyard, the dining hall on the left. Volunteers with long hair must have their hair pulled back.  This is a commercial kitchen setting so please wear closed-toed shoes with good grip, a face mask, and be ready to channel your inner Iron Chef!

About our Partner: Urban Community Outreach’s mission is to advance the interests and promote the welfare of the economically disenfranchised and homeless people in Long Beach by offering a welcoming environment to provide respite, nutrition, opportunity, and hope.
