Come Join In On The Fun Of Riversweeping

Join us for a riversweep and learn how you can be a leader of future sweeps. Our friends at + POOL are looking for the next generation of environmental changemakers to help lead riversweeps around NYC! Riversweeps are two-to-three hour events that involve removing debris from waterfront areas at various locations throughout the five boroughs. 

Date: Saturday, April 27
Time: 10am–Noon
Location: Pier 35 Lower Manhattan

Volunteers will also need to register with +POOL—details will be in your confirmation email.

Volunteers need to wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

Age Requirement: 18+

About Our Partner: +POOL believes that part of being a good steward of public space includes keeping the rivers free from debris that can harm water quality, change the ecology of the river, and hurt marine wildlife. River sweeps are volunteer events that gather citizens for a day of service to build community and raise awareness of the issues impacting our waterways.
