Join us for a morning of prepping healing meals with Project Angel Food. Project Angel Food prepares and delivers more than 1.5 million medically-tailored meals each year—free of charge—to homes of men, women, and children affected by life-threatening illnesses.
Date: Sunday, June 16
Time: 8:15am–Noon
Location: 922 Vine St., Los Angeles, CA 90038 (between Willoughby and Barton)
Parking: There is limited, free parking behind the building. We encourage carpooling. (There will be NO parking in the lot before 8am.)
Age Requirement: Anyone under 16 years old must always be accompanied by an adult.
Additional Details From Our Partner:
- Please arrive promptly at 8:15am for your orientation. We will begin your orientation when all the participants arrive.
- Ask for someone in Volunteer Services when you arrive.
- Your kitchen shift will end around 12pm.
- No drugs, pot, or alcohol before or during volunteer shifts.
- Please remember, only scheduled volunteers will be allowed in the building. No walk-ins and no bringing guests.
What To Wear:
- Wear closed-toe, rubber-soled, flat shoes when working in the kitchen. (No sandals.)
- Wear comfortable clothes (No cut-offs/mid-riffs, cap sleeves or tank tops)—shorts are okay when working in the kitchen.
- New Health Department Regulations prohibit all jewelry on hands, fingers, and arms. Leave all valuable jewelry at home. No earrings are permitted.
- You will need to cover your heads so grab a hairnet that we will be providing. Hats can be worn over the hairnet.
COVID Guidelines:
- Masks must be always worn over the nose and mouth in the kitchen. N-95, KN-95, or surgical masks are provided.
- Stay at home for at least 24 hours after fever/symptoms of fever without fever-reducing medication.
- Volunteers with a runny nose or cough—even if it is allergies—cannot volunteer.
