WHAT: Join us as we assist DC Doors in creating an organizational structure that efficiently serves community members (by helping sort and organize donations). “For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned.”
WHEN: Saturday, November 13th (10 AM – 1 PM)
WHERE: 900 Rhode Island Ave NE, Washington, DC 20018 (across from CVS and Rhode Island Ave Row Apartments)
NEAREST METRO STATION: Rhode Island Ave – Brentwood (Red Line)
PARKING: Parking on site is limited. There is public street parking available on Reed Street NE, at the cross street of DC Doors. And there is also a paid parking garage within the shopping center, Rhode Island Row, along Washington Pl NE.
COVID-19 GUIDELINES : G4G DC and DC Doors follow current and federal and city guidelines. Mask must be always worn, and social distancing rules do apply. Face shields will be provided by DC Doors, if requested.
MORE DETAILS ABOUT OUR PARTNER: DC Doors – a non-profit organization 501(c)3 designed to fill in the housing gap between transitional and permanent housing for all DC residents. DC Doors is committed to providing support services in a culturally competent and sensitive manner to achieve safe, stable, and affordable housing to everyone. Further, DC Doors serves as the donation drop off center for gently used clothes and/or small functional household items. Donations can be made 7 days a week, between 8 AM and 7 PM.
