     9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join G4G Boston on the vibrant Southwest Corridor Park in Boston! We will be helping be performing various tasks to help maintain a portion of this park.

Date: Saturday, May 18
Time: 9am–Noon
Meet location: In the park just across the street from the Mass Ave Orange Line T station.

About the project: We will be planting small trees and shrubs in a couple sections of the park, as well as doing light weeding and general clean-up if needed.

This project is limited to 15 G4G volunteers.

G4G Chapter Project Coordinator: Carey

About our Partner: The Southwest Corridor Park is a state park managed by the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). It is an urban oasis stretching roughly four miles from Back Bay Station to Forest Hills Station above or adjacent to the Orange Line and includes playgrounds, athletic courts, spray pools, amphitheaters, dog parks and 6 miles of trails. We will be working with the Southwest Corridor Park Conservancy, a volunteer not for profit 501 (C)(3) organization whose mission is to restore, maintain and enhance the South End/Back Bay section of the park.

Transport and Parking: The Mass Ave Orange Line T stop or the #1 Bus will deliver you right to where we will be meeting. The Symphony Green Line T stop is two blocks away. There is limited visitor street parking in the surrounding neighborhood and the closest garage is the Stanhope Garage at 277 Northampton Street, 0.1 mile away.
