G4G Boston + National Braille Press

WHO: National Braille Press takes donated popular children’s books in print, cuts the books apart at the spine, and inserts identical text in braille on transparent plastic sheets. The books are re-bound in a print/braille format the whole family can enjoy.

WHAT: G4G members help to assemble the books. Light snacks and a tour of the facility will also be provided.

WHERE: National Braille Press 88 St. Stephen Street Boston (Green E Line: Northeastern or Route 39 bus)

WHEN: Wednesday, May 15 from 1 to 4pm

NOTE: The event calls for 15 people. A waiting list will be created for an additional 5 volunteers. If you are signed up for the event and need to cancel, please inform us at boston@gayforgood.org so that we may open up a waiting list spot. If you sign up for the waiting list, please be aware that a volunteer slot might open up for you with somewhat short notice depending on when others cancel.
