G4G Boston + GLAD | July 23

FULL DAY EVENT SEE ITINERARY BELOW (most of the time is a ferry ride and setting up for the event, the actual event is from 4pm to 7pm)

Join GLAD’s amazing team of volunteers to help put on the social event of the season! Their Annual Summer Party is held in Provincetown at the Pilgrim Monument with all the views and sun you could want. With roughly 500 guests, it’s all hands on deck to make this party happen in person again for the first time in 3 years! There’ll be food, drinks, music, an auction, fabulous drag queens, all to raise funds to help protect LGBTQ+ rights in New England and beyond. Lunch, dinner, t-shirts & swag, and ferry transportation to Ptown provided!

GLAD is a non-profit legal advocacy organization that works to end discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, and HIV/AIDS status.

Age restriction: 16+

Volunteers needed: 50

Location: Pilgrim Monument, Provincetown, MA

COVID guidelines: Proof of vaccination required. Masks highly encouraged.

Tasks: Catering, auction set up, registration, kid’s tent

Dress Code: Casual and prepared for hot weather. Avoid jean shorts if possible. Close-toed shoes recommended. GLAD T-shirts provided.

PLEASE NOTE: This event requires a two step sign up procedure. Once you sign up for this event with us, you will receive an email containing a link that will bring you to another sign up webpage with GLAD that you must also fill out.

ITINERARY

8:15am meet for ferry

10:30 arrive in P-town free time to walk shop & snack

11:30 head to Pilgrim Monument

12:00-12:30 lunch (provided)

12:30-4 set-up

4-7 event

7-7:30 clean up

7:30 head to ferry

8-ferry return to Boston

(ferry location and details sent in reminder email before event)
