G4G Boston + St Luke’s + Chelsea Community Meals | June 24

When: Saturday, June 24 | 8am – 12pm

Where: 201 Washington Avenue Chelsea, MA (entrance in the rear of the church)

About: St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Food Pantry and Chelsea Community Meals are two important organizations in Chelsea that provide food to members of the community each week.  These organizations are over 15 years old and provide vital services to nearly a thousand members of the local community.

What: Volunteers signing up for the Food Pantry will be asked to stock, arrange, and package bags of groceries for distribution to Food Pantry clients. Typically, 400 members of the community receive groceries each Saturday!

Volunteers who sign up for the Community Meals will assist in providing breakfast and lunch to approximately 80 members of the community. Volunteers will help setup, prepare, serve and clean up after breakfast and lunch have been served.

Both projects will allow for volunteers to meet and chat with members of the larger Chelsea community, and are both vital to help the families in the community who are very grateful for our participation and generosity of time and effort.

Special Notes: Please bring proof of vaccination and a mask. Volunteers should plan to dress for the weather as some work will be done outside in tents.
