9:00 am - 12:00 pm
We will be heading to a home in the Northgate neighborhood of Seattle to help with putting plants in the ground, along with possibly spreading mulch, installing sod, screwing in fence boards, and doing general site cleanup as needed. Please wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and generally dress for getting dirty and dealing with our wonderful October weather. Facing Homelessness will provide gloves, tools, and water for everyone. Please bring your own water bottle, hot beverage (if preferred), and any snack you may require during your shift.

About Our Partner: The BLOCK Project is a program of Facing Homelessness, whose mission is to “Inspire deliberate relationship building, engagement, and community mobilization towards ending homelessness.” At the BLOCK Project, we use volunteers across the community to build tiny, sustainable homes in people’s backyards to house formerly homeless folks. We have the most affordable and sustainable permanent housing solution in Seattle.
