  • G4G San Diego + Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
     November 4, 2018
     5:45 am - 8:30 am

WHAT:  Gay For Good San Diego and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 2018

WHO:  All G4G San Diego volunteers are welcome!  This event is open to everyone of all ages, abilities, and gender identities/expressions.  We ask that you sign a G4G San Diego waiver and release (which will be provided for you) before your volunteer shift begins. We will also take a group photo.

WHY:  Susan G. Komen needs our help to register walkers and runners and take donations the morning of their event, Race for the Cure!

WHEN:  Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 5:45 am to 8:30 am

WHERE:  Meet on the West side of Balboa Park near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Palm.  We will be at the Registration tent.

MORE DETAILS:  We also need your t-shirt size for you to work the registration tents!  Please RSVP here and email us your adult t-shirt size ASAP at: sandiego@gayforgood.org.

Parking is available on the street, but you may wish to consider a rideshare (Lyft, Uber) to get to your volunteer shift on time.  Don’t forget that this is the day that Daylight Savings ends, so you’ll need to set your clock one hour back before you go to bed Saturday night!  It will be like being there at 6:45 am rather than 5:45 am so it won’t seem too early!  Please be on time as Susan G. Komen is counting on us!  Susan G. Komen San Diego’s mission is to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in San Diego County and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
