G4G San Diego + Feeding San Diego Event September 7, 2024

September is Hunger Action Month and what better way to get involved than to join us at Feeding San Diego! Each September, the Feeding America nationwide network joins local partners for this national campaign designed to inspire people to take action and raise awareness of hunger in our communities. We are partnering with Feeding San Diego to make a difference in our community by boxing and sorting food pallets that will be distributed to fellow San Diegans. Along with the food sorting, we will also be preparing meal packs for San Diego families and households. This is a great opportunity to get involved, make a difference and be a part of this nationwide campaign.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EVERY VOLUNTEER TO KNOW

EVENT DATE: Saturday, September 7

TIME:  9:00am to 11:00am

LOCATION: 9477 Waples Street. Suite #100, San Diego, CA 92121

MEETING LOCATION: At the front of the building

PARKING:  Parking is available around the warehouse so feel free to park in any open spot.

Volunteers are welcome to carpool or use public transportation.

2. Continue to fill out all requested information, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to click the orange “Sign up” button.
   1. Please note: if you are signing up a minor, the email provided for the parent/guardian will receive an email to authorize approval and prompt completion of registration for your child.
   2. Continue to fill out all requested information, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to click the orange “Sign up” button.
   3. A waiver will be generated for the parent or guardian to complete and accept.
3. You will automatically be registered with the group and added to the volunteer opportunity.

When You Arrive:

• Come on in! Sign in and make a name tag.
• Wait in the lobby for your shift to begin – don’t be shy, introduce yourself!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• Arrive 5 minutes early, the shift begins promptly at 9:00AM
• Face coverings are encouraged to be worn by unvaccinated volunteers
• Casual and comfortable clothing
• Closed toe shoes are required
• Leave valuables at home or in your vehicle
• No food or drinks are allowed in the warehouse – only closed bottled water
• Must be 6 years or older
• Limited to 10 volunteers

COVID Guidelines: If you or a member of your household has shown any signs/symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you refrain from volunteering at this time.
