• G4G Raleigh-Durham + Activate Good's 9/11 Day of Service
    September 11, 2019
    6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us when we partner once again with ACTIVATE GOOD for their annual 9/11 Day of Service.

WHEN: September 11, 2019; 6-8:30 PM

WHERE: Marbles Museum; 201 E Hargett St, Raleigh, NC 27601

We will be working with other volunteers on service projects for various organizations. These will include:

Donating healthy food and sorting / package food to fill the truck for Urban Ministries of Wake County
Sorting clothing for kids in need with Note in the Pocket
Assembling skin cancer awareness kits with Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation
Assembling literacy kits with Helps Education Fund
Assembling hygiene kits for folks in need

This is a family friendly event, open to those three years and older. Kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Volunteers are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to help ‘fill-the-truck’ for the Urban Ministries of Wake County food pantry. Canned beans, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, and rice are among top needs.

After we are finished we can grab a late snack at one of the many near-by restaurants. Shortly before the event, the project leader will contact you with further details.
