G4G Phoenix + Sleep In Heavenly Peace | January 13, 2024

Start the new year off right with an act of service. We will be partnering with Sleep In Heavenly Peace to make bunk beds for the 2,000 kids on the waitlist who are currently sleeping on the ground. No construction experience is required, we will have a plethora of jobs to suit each volunteers level of comfort.

This is a large event and we will need a headcount, so sign up early!

Upon arrival: Enter the gates and follow the signs to “Shipping & Recieving” on the left. Go around the building making two right turns. Parking is available in the back. When the parking area fills, a guide will show you where to park and arrange for a golf cart shuttle to transport you to the build location.

What to wear: Work clothes, closed-toe shoes, long hair must be securely pulled back. No tools or equipment are required—just a smile and a willingness to get dusty.

Age requirement: 18+ (Volunteers age 12-17 can participate with a parent or guardian signing the waiver on the child’s behalf.)

About our partner: All children deserve a safe and comfortable place to lay their heads. In the United States, too many boys and girls go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches and floors. This can affect their happiness and health. SHP is a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling, and delivering top notch bunk beds to children in need.
