G4G Los Angeles + Gobble Gobble Give | November 23, 2023

Gay For Good Los Angeles is joining in on the giving spirit at this year’s Gobble Gobble Give. Volunteers will be helping out with coordinating food deliveries, assembling meals, sorting clothes, and more.

Date: Thanksgiving Day, November 23
Time: 9am–12pm
Location: Santa Monica Airport: Airport Park (3201 Airport Ave, Santa Monica, 90405)

Additional Information: Volunteers are asked to bring the following donations for this event:

• A Dish of Food: Already cooked. Warm food is preferred. It can be as little as a side of vegetables (corn, green beans, stuffing). We can always use cooked turkeys and main course items. Of course, desserts are always welcome too.
• Five Small Toiletry Kits: The kits should include a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo.
• Clothing And Blankets: Used blankets and/or gently used sweaters, jackets, shirts, socks, shoes, beanies/hats for men, women, and children.

We will be volunteering in the following areas:

• Coordinating food that is being dropped off
• Bringing food to the kitchen or directly to the floor where it will be divided
• Putting meals together with your fellow volunteers
• Sorting clothes between men, women & children
• Creating toiletry kits from donation items
• Creating bags filled with food, water, clothes, and warm blankets
• Handing bags out on the streets to the homeless
