G4G volunteers needed to help distribute food to 8,000 families at SoFi Stadium

The Food Bank provides food to families and individuals through a Mobile Food Pantry (MFP) program, which distributes food off of our trucks at various locations throughout LA County. We’ll be feeding approximately 8,000 families at this event.

Date: Wednesday, September 9, 2020

Time: 7:00am – 2:00pm (could end earlier)

Location: SoFi Stadium
1000 South Prairie
Inglewood, 90301

Space is limited to 10 G4G volunteers. All volunteers will meet at the check-in area.  Please note this is a large event, however, we will work in teams of approx. 3 per station and physical distancing and mask wearing will be enforced.

Additional Details: Volunteers must be healthy, able to lift 36 lbs boxes of food and stand for several hours. Volunteers must be over the age of 18 (sorry, no exceptions)

The LA Food Bank and G4G will be implementing social distancing measures. Food Bank staff will ensure appropriate distance is maintained between each volunteer during check-in, orientation, and during the volunteer event in addition to:

  • Providing hand sanitizer pumps.
  • Providing PPE to all volunteers
  • Onsite temperature screening
