  • G4G Boston + FriendshipWorks Walk to End Elder Isolation
     May 19, 2019
     10:00 am - 2:00 pm

When: Sunday, May 19 starting at **TIME CHANGE** 10 a.m. and wrapping up about 2 p.m.

What: Join us as we team up once again with FriendshipWorks for their 35th Annual Walk to End Elder Isolation!  We’ll be cheering on the walkers as well as helping behind the scenes setting up for a light luncheon and presentations later in the day.  Bring your energy and a smile — and if you don’t have pom-poms, our friends at FriendshipWorks will provide some to you! (And, yes, they will also make sure we all take part in the luncheon, once the hungry walkers have been fed!)

Where: The walk and luncheon are happening under a tent (rain or shine!) at Rogerson House in Jamaica Plain.
The address for Rogerson House is 434 Jamaicaway, but for GPS purposes and public transportation, you should use 31 Beaufort Road, Jamaica Plain. Rogerson House is located at the end of Beaufort Street.

Parking: You cannot park at Rogerson House, but there should be easy parking on Centre Street or the side streets just a block or two away. You can also park in the Curley School lots at 40 Pershing Road (ignore the signs, we have permission!) just 4 blocks away.

What to wear:  We will be on our feet for most of this event, cheering on walkers or scampering around making sure that items and food and raffle prizes get put into place so the event flows smoothly. Wear comfy shoes, and dress in layers with an eye to the weather —  this event happens rain or shine!

How to find your team leader: Jinx will be wearing a bright rainbow-striped furry hat with ears so you can find her!
