G4G Boston + The Theater Offensive

Where: Venu Nightclub, 100 Warrenton Street, Boston, MA 02116

What: G4G Volunteers will be bid spotters during ClimACTs, The Theater Offensive’s annual fundraiser. This year’s theme is DYNASTY.  This not a traditional fundraiser. Instead, it’s a vibrant and artistically eye-popping dance party (21+) with immersive performances and performance/emceeing by RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Raj’ah O’hara.

What do bid spotters do? They alert the auctioneer to the guests making the bids. During a traditional live auction, bid spotters may simply shout out the the bidders’ numbers. In contract during ClimACTS, bid spotters will be using theater props to call attention to the bidders. The actual dance party/fundraiser runs from 6-11 PM. Volunteers are asked to arrive between 4:45 – 5:15 PM. Dinner will be available. Plus, we will have an orientation and meet the auctioneer before the event begins. Our bid spotting duties are expected to end by roughly 9 PM. However, volunteers are welcome and encouraged to dance and mingle until 10 PM.

Dress: First and foremost, dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes. You will be darting from bidder to bidder.
