Benefiting: LGBTQ Senior Housing, Inc. , a non-profit whose stated mission and raison d’etre is to facilitate access to welcoming, safe and affordable housing for low-income LGBTQ seniors, including through a formal role in the development of such housing; to define onsite housing services and programming that addresses the needs of LGBTQ seniors; and to support community space to serve seniors in the Greater Boston community.
What: Join us and Stonewall Sports, in support of our LGBTQ seniors at The Pryde Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
We will gather at 11am, for a brief training that will begin at 11:15am, followed by a break. During the training we will go on a walk through, and talk about what tasks we’ll be helping with.
There will be different roles available – including being ushers, guiding people around the building, giving tours, and handling of their overflow room.
Wonderful refreshments will be provided for all volunteers!
Volunteers: 20 volunteer slots are available in total for this volunteer project
About The Pryde:
The Pryde will provide 74 units of affordable housing in a vibrant, diverse, and engaging environment. Additionally, we will promote a welcoming and safe place where LGBTQ seniors in the Greater Boston community can gather and share stories, activities, learning, and build and celebrate connection.
