Where: 201 Washington Street Chelsea, MA (entrance in the rear of church)
Directions and parking info: There is parking available onsite. If volunteers are traveling using the MBTA, take Haymarket Station Bus #111 or South Station Silver Line Bus SL3
About the St Luke’s Episcopal Church Food Pantry: St. Luke’s pantry started in 2007 providing food to 10 families at the church but has expanded to provide free, non-perishable and fresh food to 800 individuals each month.
About the project: G4G volunteers will be stocking, arranging, and packaging bags of groceries for distribution to food pantry clients. Typically several hundred clients receive groceries each Saturday.
Special Notes:
- G4G volunteers will be required to bring proof of vaccination.
- If using cloth masks, volunteers must double layer masks or single N95 mask
- Some of the work will be done outside in tents therefore volunteers should dress in layers of warm clothing!
