WHAT: G4G Boston + Friday Night Supper Program

WHEN: Friday, August 24, 5:00 – 7:30 PM

WHERE: Arlington Street Church, 351 Boylston St.

ABOUT: Friday Night Supper Program relies on volunteers to bring a weekly meal to those in need. It is volunteers who give the program its strength and character and who have been instrumental in ensuring the program runs every Friday!

During the G4G Boston volunteer shift you will be signed in, given an orientation, and assigned a task. Tasks include drying dishes, serving food, carrying trays weighing upwards of 15 pounds, sorting through clothing, serving beverages, washing dishes, taking down tables and chairs, and sweeping and mopping.

Please be sure to tell the director if you have any limitations on mobility at the beginning of the volunteer session. Volunteers are encouraged to engage in conversation with our guests. We pride ourselves on our delicious and healthy meals, but also the friendly service we provide to our guests!

All volunteers must wear closed toe shoes without a heel. Long hair must be tied back and out of the face. Hats must be worn while helping in the kitchen.

The entrance for our guests and volunteers is in the back of the church. From Arlington Street, turn onto the public alley. Past the handicap ramp, you will see two double doors. Ring the doorbell and gain access to the downstairs double doors that bring you to our basement location.
