WHAT: The Boston Living Center is a non-profit community and resource center whose mission is to foster the wellness of all HIV positive people. Volunteers will help with a variety of tasks that include: preparing food, setting up the dining room, washing dishes, serving meals, refilling the salad bar, and cleaning up.
Volunteers are required to wear hats, long pants, a shirt with sleeves, and closed toed shoes. If you do not bring a hat you will be supplied with a hair net. Volunteers will have a chance to have a meal prior to serving our members.
All members of the team who are volunteering need to be healthy. You CANNOT volunteer if you have experienced a fever, diarrhea, a persistent cough or runny nose in the last 24 hours.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a small event with only 6 volunteer slots so it fills up quickly. We have enabled a wait list feature in case anyone cancels. If you sign up but then need to cancel it would be greatly appreciated if you email us & let us know so we may free up a slot.
